Wildflower Inc. Receives $10,000 MassMutual Foundation Grant
Boston, Massachusetts, 10-28-2020 – Wildflower Inc., a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping children and families after loss, has received a $10,000 grant from the MassMutual Foundation as part of a national Community Service Award (CSA) program. Wildflower Inc. is one of thirty-two organizations nationally to receive an award. The MassMutual Foundation made the grant as a tribute to the volunteer efforts of Jeff Baron, a Senior Partner at Commonwealth Financial Group in Boston, Ma.
“We are stronger when we come together as a community, and our Community Service Awards program recognizes a group of financial professionals who embody this spirit, working with members of their respective neighborhoods, towns and cities, helping nonprofits with which they are involved grow and thrive,” said Dennis Duquette, Head of MassMutual Community Responsibility and President of the MassMutual Foundation. “We are proud of the time and energy Jeff dedicates to better his community and delighted to support the great work financial professionals do with organizations across the country.”
Wildflower is dedicated to serving children and families who have experienced the loss of a parent. By providing the gift of camp and enrichment opportunities for children, as well as consistent support and respite for parents, families can strengthen their resilience and create positive opportunities for the future.
This grant will impact the lives of bereaved children and their families, because of this gracious donation we are able to help more families than ever before.
Jeff has been with Commonwealth Financial Group for five years. He has been committed to Wildflower since 2017 and has dedicated countless hours of time and talent to help the organization grow and flourish.
“I am very pleased that my dedication to Wildflower has been recognized by the MassMutual Foundation,” said Jeff. “This grant will provide much needed funding to continue supporting our community through various programs, such as college planning as well as summer camps for kids involved in the Wildflower organization.”
